She's 3! She's Really 3!

I can definitely say that Kate has had a very Happy Birthday today. She celebrated by doing the following things:

* Eating donut holes
* Watching Toy Story
* Putting her shoes on the wrong feet  and refusing to let me change them for her
* Sharing marshmellows with her bro
* Stealing her bro's Woody action figure (I think this cancels out the sharing of the marshmellows)
*Taking a mid morning bath
*Giving her bro a bloody nose
* Hanging out in "Daddy bed" this is what she calls OUR bed
* Picking out her own outfit
* Wrestling with Carson
* Jumping all over our couch

Here's the outfit that she picked out for herself

It's hard to tell if this was a Birthday hug or a Birthday take down
There are so many things that I love about this girl. I love that she is so confident. I love that she takes everything in before she decides to plunge in. I love that she loves to go to Bible class. Her prayers are the sweetest even if sometimes they only include her favorite movies and people that do not include me or her Daddy, "God bless Annie (movie) Toy Story (movie) and Mr. Marmin (Mr. Marvin her Bible Class teacher), Kendall (a girl in her class), and Buzz Lightyear. I love that she loves her Grandparents. I love that when you are in her way she says "Scoos me." (excuse me). I love that EVERYTIME she washes her hands she sings the ABC song at the top her lungs. I love that she knows how to get to me. Instead of asking , "Do you want to go downstairs?" She says, "Do you want to go downstairs with ME?""Do you want to watch Toy Story with ME?" That totally sweetens the deal and I usually can't refuse.  I put together a video of her past year (It's in the next post) with a song that is very special to me.  It's called "The One Who Knows" and it's all about the Love that I have for her and her brother. It's about intentional love. It's all about the love that I want her to feel. How far does love go? Well if I've done my job as a Mommy that is totally led by God then Kate and Carson will be the ones who know. Happy 3rd Birthday to sweetest girl in the whole wide world.

I know this family loves those big, huge birthday parties but if you ask me...this sounds like the most perfect, sweetest birthday celebration day ever (minus the stealing and bloody nose)! Loved your day, Kate!

Please tell Kate that Uncle Burke was especially entertained by this post and all the sweet things she does! Thanks for sharing with us!

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
