Cartwheels, Lonely Dresses, and Waterfalls

Last week end Jared went to the Mud Run to take pictures for the people that run it. The Mud Run is this crazy race that involves a 10k with climbing over walls and jumping across mud pits! Hence the name. Out of the 846 pictures that he took, I saved this one. I thought it was hilarious. Most of the people coming across the finish line looked like they were on their last leg, but these people had enough energy to cartwheel across the finish line! Maybe Jared and I will have a picture like this in the future! :)

Hello, my name is Lonely Paisley Dress. Kate's Mommy stayed up until 10:45 at night making me for her Kate. But the next morning when Kate's Mommy tried me on her, Kate screamed and cried and stomped her feet claiming I was "too big!!!" As if! In the end Kate's Mommy let her wear Kate's outfit of choice, grody green sweet pants and a hot pink shirt. To chuch! ugh! But I know that there is hope for me because Kate's Mommy said that there is a sweet girl in Chicago named Marin that would love to have me when she is older. :)

I always tell the story of meeting Jared's family for the first time. They lived in Crosbyton at the time. During the week end that I spent with them I was amazed as Jared, his Dad, Blair and Jay added on an entire room  to their house in ONE day! I had an inkling at the time that I was marrying a handy man, and my suspicion was confirmed in the next 8 years. Here is Jared's latest project, an Waterfall Oasis. And it hardly cost us anything because we already had all of those rocks in the back yard!

Tell Lonely Paisley Dress that Marin can't wait to wear it. And...she is already 17 lbs...so it may be sooner that she thinks! Adorable, Betsy! So cute.
