Mimi, Mommy, Happy Boy Blue, and Surly Striped Dress Girl

This is a story of a very special photo session. This story involves a Mimi, a Mommy, Happy Boy Blue (AKA Carson), and Surly Striped Dress Girl (AKA Kate).

Happy Boy Blue was such a joy to photograph.

He posed.

He laughed.

He smiled the best smiles.

I have to break from the story to say this is my all time favorite picture of me and my boy.

Da Da DUUUUUUUUUmmmmmmm. Enter Surly Striped Dress Girl. Hater of all dresses. Who knew that a beautiful dress could cause such a fit? Anyone with a 3 year old girl is shaking their head and immediately sympathizing with me.

Ah another beautiful keepsake picture with Happy Boy Blue.

Me and my Mom. It's been awhile since we've taken a picture together. What started out as a spur of the moment idea turned into a cherish memory as we were looking through the pictures together.

The next set of pictures I will hold especially dear to my heart. Carson loves his Mimi and it shows.

My Mom is so beautiful.

Such love.

A sweet pic with Mimi and Mommy. But wait...don't scroll down.....

She's Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a look at Carso's face.

The only one where Kate wasn't screaming.

We wanted pics together and Carso was happy to oblige every time. Don't look now.....

There she is again!! Just as upset as ever! She had told me she was going to wear this sweater and smile (we were going to do a newscaster, from the waist up thing) and take a picture with Mimi, but the minute she got up there the water works were turned on again. Love Carson's face.He seems to be saying,  "Mom are you seeing this??? It's just ridiculous the way she's acting."

And in the end Carson was still smiling. It was such a priceless day to me for so many reasons. For one, we got some great pictures with Mimi. Well, Carso and I did! But the other side of this day was that Mimi will finally believe me when I tell her about Kate's latest tantrum. Next time she will think twice about saying, "oh! Surely not! Not our Kate!"

Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! You should have had Mimi do a family picture...she's great at them. :o)

Kate, you will learn to blame those kind of days on PMS. And if you don't want to wear your pretty dress, give it to Carson, he seems to like to wear your clothes. Just be sure and include some shiny shoes with outfit. :o) Love you sweet girl!

Carson. I'm thinking about kidnapping you. Shhh, don't tell your mom and dad!

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
