My Mother's Day

I had an amazing, fantastic, unbelievable Mother's Day. God gave me the very best present this morning....I lost my phone:) I had no distractions. Completely wonderful. The kids and I went to church and then Old Mc Donald's for lunch. And because I had no phone I watched my kids play. And I realized they look for me A LOT when they play. And today I caught every single look. And I waved everytime. And then when we got home my formerly delinquent camera decided to act right and I got some incredible pictures. That was the best Mother's Day present for me:) And as I put Kate to bed tonight she whispered , "Happy Mother's Day Mom" and then she added, "This was the best Mother's day eBer!" I couldn't agree more. :)

Carso is ready  for pictures. Kate is having a temper tantrum to the left:) I really thought that it was going to be a Mother/Son picture session but Kate rallied and said she was ready to take pictures.

Oh my goodness...........Thank you God for this picture.

Kate was warming up:) I love Carson in this one. Holding on to his Mommy.

Can you believe this one? Except for Kate's tummy shot and the candle (WHa?)

Love this smile. :)

Carson insisted I take his picture like this........

And this:) He thought he was pretty cool:)

I made the kids these blankets today. Very simple. It's not about the blanket, my kids have plenty of blankets. It's about them knowing that I want to make something for them. Their faces just beam and they constantly ask me while I'm making them, "Mom that's for me right?" Love it.

Just had to show the pattern that Carso picked out for his blanket. I don't know why he was drawn to it...he really doesn't like cars, fire engines, tractors, or airplanes:)

Kate chose just minky fabric. The softest minky fabric I have ever felt.

Carso loved his blanket just a little. Soft red minky fabric on the other side made it even better.

"Mommy I going to give you a smile! Ready? Take a picture!"

"Ok I do it again........take a picture Mommy!" He thought these were the best smiles ever.

I planted this Hydrangea bush a couple of weeks ago. It weathered the storm.... Sort of.

I was also thinking about this little boy today. Our Compassion kid Liners. I know he has a Mommy but I kind of think of him as one of mine. I think everyone should adopt a Compassion kid. Just $38.00 a month. You won't miss it, but what that $38.00 can accomplish is amazing!

I love to watch my kids play. Another gift from today.

All day today Kate was singing "Never Let Go". She got Carson and me singing it to. What a blessed day:)

Great post! Great pictures! I am glad you had a good day...now I know why you didn't answer my call :)

You are a great Mommy - it is clear they loved their blankets.

I love the sand table - I have been wondering if it would be a worthy investment - a table, a box, something - I worry that I think it would be fun and then after all the trouble of it of getting it & setting it up, the boys wouldn't play with it that much. What's the scoop in your opinion? Go for it?!?!

Happy Mother's Day!

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
