Best Friends

A friend was remarking to Jackie Kennedy one day about how close her two children John and Caroline were. She looked that person in the eye and declared, "That's the best thing I've ever done." When I think about my kids I think about them being best friends. And everytime they fight or say unkind words to each other I tell them they are best friends. They don't get it now, but they will.

Today on our way to church I was telling Carson that in August he will join Kate in our childrens worship hour called Power Kids. The car got silent as Carson thought about this. The silence was broken by Kate saying to Carson, "And Carso when you go to Power Kids you will sit by me. You won't sit by new friends, you will sit by me." Of course Carson raised no objection. I looked at his face in the rear view mirror, he was so proud.

So today they can have their fights and squabbles but someday they will get it.

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
