Breezy!

Yes I played catch up with Photo A day just so I could write this post. I got hung up on 11:00 because 2 things happen at 11:00 on any given day. At 11 am I am working and at 11 PM I am usually having a talk with a very awake Carson about how its just not normal for a boy of 4 to be up and going at 11 PM with out a nap or any kind of sugar and caffeine boost. But on Sunday at 11:00 am we are at church so I decided to wait and take that picture so it could be half way interesting.

We had a great week end. Swimming lessons started for the kids on Saturday morning. I say this all of the time but its true. It is amazing what my kids will do with someone else when I'm not hovering. It's true that they were gaining confidence because we have been to the pool more than usual and their Daddy takes them also but holy schnikeys this was awesome confidence. I have learned or am learning to never under estimate my kids. At the beginning of the class they got all of the kids together to evaluate them so that they could put them in the right group. The teachers would come to the side and get the kids to hold their hands and come into the pool. And just about the time I was thinking "my kids will never do that." off they went. A sweet moment came when they split off into groups Kate was in the Eel group and Carso was with the Pikes. Out of habit he went to sit beside his sister with her group. To him being by Kate's side is just a natural thing:) I moved him over to his group and he was only to happy to go. As his teacher is a sweet teen age girl who thought he was just the cutest little boy. I heard her whisper to her friend, "I want that little boy in my group. He is SO cute!" And I was busting with pride at his cuteness as if I have anything to do with that aspect of his personality:) Kate was putting on a show. I mean here was a girl who clung to me in the water like she was on a sinking ship confidently hanging onto the kick board with OUT the teacher holding on. When he let go she just nervously laughed. If I had let go it would have been "Mommy don't let me go!" Like I said, It's funny what they do when you're not around. I can't wait to see what they learn next week. And I will definitely take my camera.Don't know what I was thinking!

Carso is at this stage where I just want to say, "Son! Would you just keep still for one second??" But really do I want that? He's a BOY and he's FOUR! What do I expect and frankly I wouldn't want it any other way:) Here he was laughing at me because I miss the hole on his juice box and made a new one. He thought that was the funniest thing in the world!

He was just posing. And the funny thing is he does these poses even when he's not in front of the camera.

But oh! There is the sweetness of this boy..One minute he is running around like a wild banshee and the next minute he is telling me, "Mommy you come and get me if they bug lands on your arm and I will come and protect you."

Wild Banshee moment. He has taken to wearing just one sock and shoe around the house. When I ask why, he says, "I dunno. I just like the way it feels Mommy!"

Kate and I were laying in the hammock Saturday night and I had her in a fit of giggles. I was singing this old church song and would sing some of the words loud and scare her. She thought it was the funniest thing. :)

Did you know that there is a period of time about 20 minutes after the sunsets where when you take a picture you get blue light? It's called the blue hour.
I have loved this summer already. One of my favorite memories is of Kate lying with me in the hammock with her head on my tummy while I run my fingers through her hair. :)

Serious blue Carso:)

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
