Oh I Love You Saturday!

You know that annoying person who comes to kid events and takes tons of pictures of her kids? Well, yesterday, she be me. Or as Carson would say, "Her be me."

On our way into swim lessons

Man, I'm a sucker for a profile shot

Kate told me that her new friend (blonde boy) was named "Hudson." So as I was loading this pic up I said "Look at Hudson he's so silly." Kate said, "Um Mom that kids name is Zachary." Alrighty then!

This is a heartbreaking picture. You can barely see it but Carson's little hand is waving to Kate across the way and he is YELLING "Kate!!! Hello Kate!! Kate!!!" And she either can't hear him or is ignoring him. I suspected the latter. So I walked over and told her what a good job she was doing and then asked her if she could wave hello to him which she promptly did. She really didn't hear him. He was SO proud.

He's SO proud of himself!

Practicing his hand movements.

Making a mask with his hand movements as only a 4 year old boy can do

See those parents right behind their kids hovering away? Yep not me:)

Picking up the ring with one hand still firmly planted on her teacher

Kate is hilarious. When she gets really nervous she laughs. A LOT.

Floating on his back like a "starfish."

Definitely one of my favorites of the day. Carso can really throw out the looks.

So proud of the fact that he can buckle his seat belt all by himself. This is HUGE apparently in kid land.

A little stop at Old Mc Donalds.

Dora's foot had a minor ketchup incident.

A classic Kate pose

A few Mommy and Kate selfies.

New goggles. Are these a scream or what? I think he wore these ALL day. Even when not at the pool.

Taking a short cat nap. Goggle still on.

Ready to hit the pool.

We have used this wagon SO much since my friend Hope gave it to us. It makes the walks to the pool so much easier.

It dawned on me that maybe the kids just needed to know what it was like to be independent in the water with out hanging all over me. So I sprang for some floaties and boy was I right....about Kate. It was like that was the push that needed to get confident in the water. I was walking to the chair to set my stuff down and she was already floating out to the middle of the pool!!!!! She was SOOOOOOOO proud of herself. She was actually strutting around the pool, chest out hands on hips. I could hardly contain my joy and kept shouting "Yahoooooooo!!!" I didn't care what other people thought I was SO very proud of this girl.

This picture looks bad but it's not. She kept wanting to put her head underwater. It was so cool she was just testing herself the whole afternoon gaining more and more confidence.

Swimming! Horizontal!

This boy would just not trust the floaties so he played it safe but he'll get there soon.

Floating!!!!

This is HUGE for Carson. Putting his whole face in the water. I think the goggles really helped.

That's a look of pure satisfaction.

JOY!

I loved, loved, loved all of these posts....but this one may be favorite. Our kids are going to have so much fun at the beach. I CAN NOT WAIT!!

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
