Command of the English Language

My kids definitely do not have a command of the English language. Kate is getting better but they are both still trying to master their pronouns and tenses. Well that's pretty technical, but I can say with out a doubt that I will be sad the day that I hear correct English coming from them. Here are some of sayings I will be sad to not hear anymore.

1. Carson's classic mix up of pronouns. "Mommy hers upstairs." "Her don't like cheese anymore."

2. Carson was describing to me when he cut his knee and told me that "It was blooding all over the place.

3. This is one that Kate still says. "Carson we need to stay our stuff animals here because we will lose them if we take them with us."

4. I have been talking to Kate about her stopping her thumb sucking. She always tells me but Mommy if I stop sucking my thumb my mouth will be sucky! Not sure what this means but I'm pretty sure that this will be a hard habit to break for her.

5. When Carson races us and wins or if he's playing a game with us and wins he always says, "I beat you up!" instead of I beat you, as in winning. You can get some pretty interesting looks when he shouts, "Kate I just beat you up!"

There will be more of these phrases that come to mind....and then there will be less.:( I have loved this age that they are at right now.

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
