Seeing Santa

Seeing Santa last year was filled with wonderful memories. No crying. No tears. No fear. This year was much the same. The kids were excited to see him and we got in a short line and thought that it would be a breeze. Enter "the break". It was supposed to be 30 minutes but it stretched into 90 minutes. Yes 90 minutes! Santa must have been doing some extra holiday shopping or toy making. At least that's what we told the kids when they asked for the billioneth time what time he would be back and why was he taking so long???? I reached that point as a Mom where on the outside I was trying to teach them the virtue of patience and "good things come to those who wait." But on the inside I was thinking "where is this guy??" and "Seriously???How can he take this long of break knowing how many people are waiting in line with kids?? Have you no conscience man????" But he finally sauntered on in and took his seat and we got our time with him.

Love this far away shot I got of my Mom and the kids. I was standing in line and watching them sitting so patiently. Little did I know how long we would have to wait.

Look how comfortable Kate is! Just lean on back!

Telling Santa what they want.

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
