This and That

Friday Morning Kate was recognized at her morning assembly  for her improved writing. She was so proud of herself and Carson and I loved being there to see it.

Getting a high five from Ms. H

Lately I have been pouting about not being able to run outside. Aside from my running group on Thursday nights running is out for me as a form of exercise. :( I miss it. But I have found some other ways to exercise lately. The other day Carson and I cleared the furniture away and played some soccer. I haven't seen any other 4 year olds play soccer but I have to say I think he's got a knack for it. I just loved watching him kick and "play goalie" by doing these very impressive dives:) He really left it all out there. We played for over a hour!

Playing goalie

It really is all about the tongue. If the tongue isn't out the kick is not as powerful. :)

I love him

Just to prove that he has some Brednich in him. He was sweating so much. And it was 68 degrees in our house!

And finally play dough power. My kids bug me all of the time to buy them play doh but I always refuse. They asked Santa for play doh for Christmas and I told them that Santa has stopped giving play doh to little kids. It's just so messy and always ends up ground into the carpet or dried out. BUT I decided to try to make play dough the other day and it turned out so well. We have a bunch of cookie cutters that the kids had fun playing with for awhile. I don't know what it was about this type of play dough but it seemed less messy, less sticky and easier to clean up.

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
