First Day of School Pics

In the last 2 weeks we have sold our house, moved to a new city, moved into a new house, started a new school, and I have started a new job. It's enough to make our heads spin and it certainly has more than once. But we know that we are more than conquerors.:) Here are the first day of school pics for my big First grader and kindergartener. It's funny how emotional I thought I was going to be when my baby boy started kinder. It's also  funny how a move and chaotic previous 2 weeks will take that emotion right out of you. There were no tears shed by any of us on the first day. Kate did her usual "Love you Mom, bye" routine and Carson was remarkably calm and collected so I just kissed them and said good bye. Short and sweet. And the next day Carson begged me to walk into school all by himself. Kate informed me that this is what first graders did on the 2nd day so there I was dropping them off and saying good bye from the car. So sad about how time is just going so fast BUT  So proud of how brave they are.

Such a favorite Carson expression these days. I thought about cropping the moving boxes out but I wanted  to remember the chaos of that week end before. :)

So excited. His big day had finally come.

After trudging to Pre K through the summer and asking me a billion times "how many more days MOM?!?!?" The day was finally here!

Me and my boy. I will have to dig up a very similar picture of us from last year. I'm all about the comparisons:)

Oh what a beauty! She was so excited to get the show on the road!

I tried to pick her up like I did for Carson's picture but she wasnt having it. And told me "Mom, first graders are not held for pictures, they stand!"

In front of their new school ready to roll!

Kate with her new teacher Mrs B!

Brother saying good bye to Kate. This was such a sweet moment. "Have agood day in first grade Kate. I love you." It's perfect because they are in the same hall at school so they walk each other to class everyday.

Just like last year. Busy with her picture. Had to stop her to say goodbye. Much to her delight she was the first one in the classroom.

It seemed so appropriate that the sunshine was shining right on him that day.

Carso with his new teacher Ms. D. :)

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
