Disney World- The Story

So back in April my friend Heather took me to lunch. I had been unemployed for 6 months and was just about to start a job in a whole new career. We chatted for a little bit about experiences that we had in common and then she shocked me. I will never forget her words. She said" I'm going to tell you something and you can't say no." Of course she had my full attention. She said my husband and I would like to send you and the kids to Disneyworld. In a word I was floored. I cried. I laughed. I tried to tell her it was too much. But she wouldnt hear it. She said she had already been talking to a travel agent and that I just needed to tell her the dates that we can travel. That's the way to do it. YOu don't ask someone if you can do something for them you just DO! Before I knew I was giving her dates. Before I knew it our flight was booked. Before I knew it our wonderful travel agent Lana was sending us all of the Disney things in preparation for our trip. I couldnt believe it. I didnt think that we would be able to go a vacation together for a long time and God made a way. When you are a single parent it's true that there are financial struggles but the thing that I struggle with is time. There is just not enough time in the day to spend with each other. This was a trip that gave me undivided precious time with my babies. And as an added bonus my Mom got to come with us. And what a blessing she was. It was an absolutely awesome trip. It really was a magical experience and one that we will never forget. I will ever be thankful to Heather and her husband for listening to God's call to bless our little family.

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
