This year I combined the kids birthday parties. I think that this is the last year I will be able to get away with this. We had the party at the place where I work out and it was so much fun. Gym games, a scavenger hunt, and super heroes. What more could any kid ask for? Everyone had a blast and I didn't have to do a thing (except pay money of course!) I could get used to that!

Scenes From a 6th Birthday
Its always kind of a bummer to have your birthday on a week day but that really didnt stop us from celebrating our boy. His personality is exactly like I captured below. I love this boy so much. One minute he is talking about what kind of Daddy and husband he will be and the next moment he is talking about super heroes.

Scenes From a 7th Birthday
One of my favorite things in the whole wide world is to take tons of pictures of my kids and sort through them. So many expressions that I catch and can capture for my memory forever.
Kate on her 7th Birthday. |
I love this girl. At 7 she's already so multi faceted. She is content to be quiet, but then she is goofy, and then serious, and then laughing out loud. It's a beautiful thing to watch. |
Those eyes. |
For Kate's birthday we went to the Zoo. It was a beautiful day and all of the animals were out. The flamingos are Carson's favorite. |
There was a giraffe that was just born. He was putting on a show for everyone. |
She was pouting about something here. Multi faceted. |
My two 6 year olds. Kate didnt techinically turn 7 til 8:56 that night so I got my picture in under the wire:) |
A college girl passed by us and offered to take our picture. Too bad Kate was still in a mood. |
I still got that Carso smile even though Kate tried to photo bomb. |
When Carson is grown I will think of him and this smile that he sometimes gives me. It is at the same time sweet and mischievous. |
He was directing us with the map as usual. I love that he thought to stick in the back of his pants. So old man like. |
He just loved being on the carousel by himself. |
Carso told me to take a picture of this cowboy. |
Kate got right up on a horse with no qualms at all. Loved it. |
Waiting on a train |
I was telling her to give me certain emotions. This was her mad face.Obviously |
We rode this little miniature train after we left the zoo. We missed the first train so we had to wait close to a hour for the next one, which gave me lots of valuable time to take pictures. |
Typical 6 year old boy explorer pose. |
Throwing rocks was the coolest thing to do that day. |
Beautiful birthday girl. |

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
