Introducing Carson....as a Duck!

This past Tuesday Carson's whole Kindergarten class put on a little Barn Yard performance. I'm pretty sure that maximum cuteness was reached that night. I took only a few pictures because I'm a big believer in actually watching my kids instead of hiding behind a camera all of the time, but the ones that I got told the tale.

I cherish this picture because I'm pretty sure his days of  willing to be seen in a duck costume are seriously numbered.

He loves his friends. I love when we leave after school care and he shouts good bye  across the parking lot to a friend.

I always pray that my kids won't necessarily get  the most popular teacher but I pray that they will get the teacher that is right for THEM. Ms. Dismukes is perfect for Carso. Just the right amount of firmness and tender care. She challenges him to do his best because she knows and believes in him. We are blessed. When I asked Carson the other night, "Does Ms. Dismukes love you?" He looked at me like I was crazy and said increduously, "Of course!!!!!"

Trouble.

Carso with his best buddy, Mati. I never really thought a kindergartner could have a best friend but this friendship has proved me wrong.

That's my child in the center of the ducks raising his hat in the air (just like he shouldn't be). I love this age though. He's so unique and uninhibited. And I mean that in the best possible way. NOT shy at ALL!!!

Frisco Easter Egg Hunt

This community that we live in is so amazing. There are always so many things to do if you just look around. My friend at work told me about this Easter Egg Hunt that Frisco puts on every year. Whoah! 80,000 eggs are up for grabs and they split the fields up according to ages so the little ones don't get trampled by the big kids. What a great idea. The kids had so much fun. And the best part is that most of the eggs weren't filled with candy, but little stickers, tattoos, and toys. And now the pictures.

Contemplating. Many times I look back and see Kate with this expression on her face.

And then she spots me.

There were school buses that took us to the fields. What a thrill!!

She picked out a pink poodle easter basket. Girly!

Kate hasn't been  feeling well this week so it was good to see her confident stride back.

Kate loves stuffed animals of any kind. I always know that when she gets one as a gift that it will not be lost on her.

Kate was intent on taking a good picture for me, but Carson had other ideas.

This picture could really sum up the difference between a girl and a boy.

That's a whole lot of eggs. Pretty Impressive considering there were 4 more fields like this.

Bonding with her new pet. My kids would love having a dog so much.

This boy was so excited. He planned from the sidelines what his strategy would be.

Finally a brother sister picture. Thank you Carson.

As always, taking it all in,

Strategery.

And they're off!

She only picked up PINK eggs! So funny! So her hunt was more careful and deliberate.

Still in hot pursuit....of pink eggs.

She was so proud.

Tickled pink.

This boy on the other hand didn't care what color he got. He brought in quite the haul!

Such a beauty!
