Just Call Her Imelda

You know... the lady in the Phillipines with all of the shoes? Just in case you needed a reference. Anywho! Kate LOVES shoes. Everytime I wake her up the first thing she does is look at her shoes lined up on the table and say, "Shoes!" She wants to wear shoes all of the time. The other day she was hanging out in a onesie and wanted her new pair of shoes on. So picture her with just a onesie and those wonderfully chubby legs with big chunky shoes on. Too cute! She is a definitely girly girl. Perhaps even more girly than her Mom! This is her 2 newest pair of shoes. She is very drawn to the pink pair and wants to wear them all of the time.

Cozy Coupe Couple

I bless the day we bought the cozy coupe. Kate loves this toy above any toy that she has. It is by far the most popular toy when other kids come over. She loves to put her sippy cup, food, and other items in her trusty car. In fact, when I am missing something I look in the cozy coupe first to see if she's stashed it in there. The other day she decided Carson could join in on the fun. This is what transpired.

Hey Kate, what do you think about me taking a spin in the ole cozy coupe?

Bubba is pleased as punch that Kate considered him cozy coupe material

Man! Pushing this kid around is very.....

VERY hard work!

Stopping to get some gas

Alright Bubba fun times over, out you go!

Back in the saddle again..

The Little Engine that ALMOST Could

Carson is ready to crawl. He's still trying to figure out how to put it together, but when he does...... look out!!
He's got the arms square...

And he's got the knees down

I'm trying Mom! I'm THIS close!

Right Now

My heart is as full as this sink!

Kate's First Day

This morning Kate started a Mother's Day Out program at our church. She did really well. She went right in and sat down at the table. Me? I was another story. I find it really amazing that even though I dropped her off nearly everyday at daycare I still had to fight back the tears this morning. It never gets easier. We acquired 2 new things for Kate's big adventure, a little backpack and a lady bug nap mat. Both are as cute as they can be and both are monogrammed which seems to be my new passion lately. I let Kate try on each one and both of them almost sent her backwards. She's such a little one. She loves her nap mat and wanted me and Bubba to lay on it with her. To tell you the truth I am thinking about getting one of my own. It looks so comfortable. Thanks to Randi and Sharon at Sweetest Stitches I was able to get Kate's nap mat yesterday morning at the last minute. They do amazing work and have thr cutest things. And everything is monogrammed.:)

A 7 Month Old Boy

We have a 7 month old boy on our hands. Carson's main wish is for mobility right now. I have never seen a baby that is so frustrated by his immobility. He wants to MOVE! And it doesn't help that Kate is whizzing by him every second. Another thing Carson wants to do? EAT!! This boy packs it away and it is my prediction that he will eat us out of house and home as a teenager. He REALLY wants to eat real food and tries to grab Kate's food every chance that he gets. She thinks it is funny and tries to hand him her food when I am not looking. Carson will put it in his mouth but generally not know what do with it. I am getting wise to their little charade because Kate will suddenly say, "No Bubba!" Then I know that I have to go into his mouth for a search and rescue mission. One thing Carson does not want to do? Sleep!! At night once I can get him down he stays down for a good 12 hours but I am finding that naps are another story. I can tell that he will be the one I will have to say, "Now Carson it's nap time, you don't have to go to sleep but you do have to have some quiet time in your room." Carson has 2 new teeth to call his own. They both came through in the same week and boy did we hear about it! He loves to play with Kate now and is very content to play by himself. His favorite things to do include standing with support on anything he can find, pouncing on things with his hands, splashing in the bath tub, and saying, "Da da da da da" over and over. He has a smile that melts my heart and at the same time makes me wonder what is going on in that little boy mind of his. Well, as usual I hear him "fighting" his nap. Must go tend to the little boy.

Chaos!!! Need Help!

I absolutely love being home with my kids and seeing the everyday stuff that I had missed for so long. But for some reason I thought that I would have all of this time to keep our house in tip top shape and get dinner on the table by the time Jared came home from work. So far the house is a wreck and 0 meals have been on the table. Can anyone help me? How do you keep your house clean? And does anyone have any good recipes? I could also use some suggestions for stuff to do with the kids that is cheap or free. Also any products that you have tried baby or house cleaning wise that you could not do with out? I feel like I am flying by the seat of my pants here. Or maybe this is the way it always is in stay at home Mommy world. If that's true please feel free to leave a comment about that.:)
