Crosbyton and Maw's Birthday Party

This week end we went to Jared's hometown of Crosbyton to celebrate his Maw's (Grandma's) 75th Birthday party. We had fun seeing everyone there and boy was she surprised. That's the first surprise party that I have been to where the person was genuinely surprised. Uncle Gary and Aunt Susan were gracious enough to open their home to us. Then we visited with Jared's Dad at the cemetary before we headed out of town.

Uncle Gary

My kids both had colossal melt downs at this party. You could say this is the calm before the storm.

I thought this cake was so cool. The picture was edible.

The laughs before the storm. Oh my!

Maw had the best surprise party reaction ever!

Jared cousin Megan's  little ones Michael and Jordyn.

Carson has started to put his little hand in his pocket. Too cute. This one is called Hand in the Pocket before the storm.

Busting a move before the storm.

Puttin' the hoo doo on 'em (before the storm)

We love our Caden. He is such a great kid and so enjoyable to be around.

LeBron may be a good basketball player but does he ever play with Elmo tightly wrapped in one arm? Now that's a challenge Bron Bron.

The dribble before the storm

This is Jared's cousin Jill's little girl Stormy. Stormy has the best heart. She was so kind to our kids.
This Jared's cousin Maggie's little girl Madelyn. She's so beautiful.

I love this sign that was hanging up in the party place.

Uncle Burke says, "Utilize the pockets, Carson, utilize the pockets. Make up for lost time."

So where are the "storm" pictures? I don't believe those sweet, perfect children could ever cause trouble.

And Uncle Burke says...."Put them in the cellar during those storms."

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
