Tradition

Christmas tree pics from the past....

And 2012

When Pigs Fly

What is Kate looking at with her nose all pressed up against the glass??

Could it be????

A white Christmas in Texas??????? Why yes it is!!!!  In past years it has been 75 degrees on Christmas day, but today we got a wonderful surprise. It snowed all day. It was the cherry on top of an amazing Christmas Day.

Of course we had to bundle up and get out there!

Adorable.

It was snowing really hard.....for Texas:)

That's a snowball!!! We had to use socks for mittens. Worked great!

Happiness!!

Doesn't that cow hat just kill you? But he loves it and insists on it.

She was hopping in the snow.

He was just running around everywhere. We were all in awe!!

I just wanted to remember how happy I was today:)

I LOVE this picture.

For a long time we just kept making snowballs and throwing them at the house. We couldn't stop laughing!

The snowflakes would just hang off of Kate's long eyelashes.

Made me think of that song from the Sound of Music....What an incredible day!

Christmas Day

Ok funny story. My kids were so excited Christmas Eve. They were talking about Santa coming. We looked him up on the computer to track him and read ' Twas the Night Before Christmas. I was so excited for them because I knew they had finally connected it all....And then this morning they both woke up and acted like they had no idea what was going on. On school days I usually let them watch a short cartoon before we leave and that's the first thing they asked for. I said , "Guys do you remember who was supposed to come to our house last night?" They looked at me blankly and said, "I dunno Mommy...Who?" Really??? I had to spell it out for them. Hilarious!!! But once we got downstairs it was game on! We had an incredible day. So much happiness and laughter and smiles and hugs and "I love yous"

The first look:)

His reactions were priceless...

Kate got an awesome doll house

This 8 foot racing track was a total hit!

A captain America car. Where does Santa find these things? :)

Yes he is hugging his monster truck. This boy always has some kind of vehicle in his hand. Last night he went to bed tightly clutching a hotwheels car in his hand.

Another great reaction!

Beautiful.

Thanks guys.

Another huge hit. Football guys. My kids love to line things up.

The kids also loved this marble run.

Had to get a photo of the toy explosion

Have you ever played Zingo? It's bingo with pictures. The kids loved it.

We wrapped it up with a Christmas dinner. I got the best Christmas present when Carson ate all of of his peas.

This train table is amazing and the kids played all day on it. However it was no joke to put together! I was thinking about looking for an online support group for parents who put this bad boy together. I feel very accomplished now. :)

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went to the Christmas Eve Service at our church with our good friends the Tuleys. Side note: Seriously Care??? Did you know Piersen was at Christmas Eve Service with us??? Unbelievable!

I was in the best Christmas spirit so I let the kids hold their own candles. They were so still and careful. I was so proud of them.

Kate kept wanting to blow the candle out.

My best friend Jodi. God only knows where I would be with out her this year.

Alright look at this picture.. and compare it with this picture....

Beautiful family. Derek, Jodi, Easton and Hudson

I was singing, "Oh you better not pout I'm telling you why...."

Setting out Santa's Peppermint Patty Gooey Bars. Because that's what She... I mean He likes. :)

Headed up stairs for the night! So excited......

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
