Aquarium, Butterfly Garden, Roly Polies

Now if you had to guess which one out of these 3 would you say my kids spent more time in;/with? Here's a hint, not the one that cost money to get into. Of course it was the free supply of roly polies in the outdoor displays. Which just goes to show you. Free is always more fun when it comes to kids.

Carson asked if we could ride this, Kate was relieved when I told them it was not in operation. The tides are turning.

There was this great exhibit where you could pet a sting ray. I loved it but the kids were a little afraid of it. Carson finally did it and Kate dipped her hand in but I don't think she touched one. :)

An albino alligator. Creepy, ghostlike, and fascinating.

Jelly fish are so peaceful. But not when your kids are pulling at you to go on to the next tank because "these are boring." I could have watched then for awhile though.

The butterfly garden was great. They are everywhere! We tried to get one to land on us but you have to stay really still, and well that's not really one of our strengths these days:)

My goal is to NEVER go to the Texas State Fair. We'll see how long that lasts.

This would have been awesome with out the juice box hanging from his mouth..but this is real life!

I call this her confident walk. :)

Roly poly discovery.

The trees were so beautiful here

The classic 5 year old boy dicovery pose. Love it

We hit the butterfly garden a second time. I think Carson just wanted to run around all of the trails. We were almost the only ones in there. :)

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
