Disney World Day 2 The Magic Kingdom!

Disney World Day 1- Downtown Disney

Disney World- The Story

So back in April my friend Heather took me to lunch. I had been unemployed for 6 months and was just about to start a job in a whole new career. We chatted for a little bit about experiences that we had in common and then she shocked me. I will never forget her words. She said" I'm going to tell you something and you can't say no." Of course she had my full attention. She said my husband and I would like to send you and the kids to Disneyworld. In a word I was floored. I cried. I laughed. I tried to tell her it was too much. But she wouldnt hear it. She said she had already been talking to a travel agent and that I just needed to tell her the dates that we can travel. That's the way to do it. YOu don't ask someone if you can do something for them you just DO! Before I knew I was giving her dates. Before I knew it our flight was booked. Before I knew it our wonderful travel agent Lana was sending us all of the Disney things in preparation for our trip. I couldnt believe it. I didnt think that we would be able to go a vacation together for a long time and God made a way. When you are a single parent it's true that there are financial struggles but the thing that I struggle with is time. There is just not enough time in the day to spend with each other. This was a trip that gave me undivided precious time with my babies. And as an added bonus my Mom got to come with us. And what a blessing she was. It was an absolutely awesome trip. It really was a magical experience and one that we will never forget. I will ever be thankful to Heather and her husband for listening to God's call to bless our little family.

The Dallas Zoo

The kids and I tried out the Dallas Zoo. We have been to the Fort Worth Zoo many times and I have to say that between the 2 zoos the Fort Worth Zoo definitely out zoos the Dallas Zoo. But don't get me wrong we had a ton of fun at this zoo. Feeding the giraffes was definitely a highlight.

Kate was shouting "Family!" in this picture

Beautiful goofy girl

The giraffes were SO close!

They were so excited to ride by themselves

When I was a kid going into the reptile house would make me weak in the knees. My kids did not get that memo. They love it! This guy was saying hi to Carson and he thought that was pretty neat. We went into the crocodile house where a croc was tearing up a rabbit. Kate watched and said "But rabbits are so cute and cuddly." Talking about survival and the circle of life is lost on a 6 year old girl that loves watching bunnies hop around our yard. :)

She tried so hard to get the picture with the sun blinding her.

Mr. Squinty :)

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
