Because I Don't Want To Forget

As we were walking out of the library today an older lady was walking towards us. You could tell she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. She  was struggling with walking and had her head down. As we passed her Kate looks at her and says out of the blue, "You're Beautiful!" The lady was shocked. She told Kate how much she made her day by saying that to her. I told Kate that out all of the things that she could do in her life it would be those kind of moments that would make me the most proud of her. I have a soft spot for kindness so when my own daughter exhibits it so effortlessly it downright floors me.
