He is All I Need

This was the Jesus Calling entry this morning:

Peace is My continual gift to you. It flows abundantly from My throne of grace. Just as the Israelites could not store up manna for the future but had to gather it daily, so it is with My peace. The day by day collecting of manna kept my people aware of their dependence on Me. Similarly, I give you sufficient peace for the present, when you come to me by prayer and petition and thanksgiving. If I gave you permanent peace, indpendent of my presence, you might fall into the trap of self sufficiency. May that never be!

I have designed you to need me moment by moment. As your awareness of your neediness increases, so does your realization of My abundant sufficiency. I can meet every one of your needs with out draining My resources at all. Approach My throne of grace with bold confidence, receiving My peace with a thankful heart.

Oh, did I need these words this morning. This speaks perfectly to the change in my life. Not a change that I have done but one that has been brought about in me. It truly is amazing. I consider myself one of the most anxiety prone people in the world. I deal with panic attacks and other forms of anxiety. But today as I handed my precious son over to the nurses, I felt this amazing peace come over me. He is in God's hands.  I knew Carson was safe. I didn't need to fear.  All of my worries of what might happen to him were erased. I couldn't make myself conjure up one single fear that I had for my son. A break through indeed. I knew that I had friends that were bringing Carson's name and mine and Jared's name before the Lord and I felt completely covered in prayer. I say  this not to brag about myself, but rather to brag about the power of our  God. The true awesome, amazing life changing power that He has in our lives. Thank you God for once again blowing me away!!! Praise Him!!!

Praise the Lord!! I have been praying, praying, praying. Great is the Lord's faithfulness!

God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
