New Flooring, Living Room Redo, and Subway Art and SpiderGirl

This is a very blurry picture but the main idea is that I laid down wood flooring at the top landing of the stairs. I found this amazing product called Allure vinyl flooring. It's peel and stick and all of the cuts that need to be made can be made with an exacto knife. It really looks like the real thing and it is so incredibly easy to install! I wish I had the money to do my entire living room.

This week end I put together my little living space. I painted the walls a cool blue gray (who knew gray was so neutral?) Everything in the room I already had except for the Ikea coffee table. I love Ikea! It had never been with in reach to me before since I can't really justify a 90 minute drive from my house. BUT it's only 20 minutes from work. Oh dear! My friend who went with me was laughing so hard because I acted like a kid who had never been to the circus before. I'm pretty sure I could have spent hours in there!

This was my runner up for the closeup picture for the photo a day challenge but I decided Carso was more interesting to look at.:)

I made this subway art for under $15! I love all of the subway art I am seeing on all of the blogs but if you go to some of these Etsy stores they can get pretty expensive. So I went to Hobby Lobby and they were having a sale on all of their Vinyl adhesive wall art (50% off!). I love these Family rules although they had many more to choose from. I bought a piece of Black foam board for $5 so that the wall art would have a solid back ground. I painted the "Love One Another" with some red acrylic paint I had on hand because I wanted those words to really stand out and Voila! I had some cool subway art to hang:)

And one of the best parts of the week end was this SpiderGirl. She stayed in this costume for the whole afternoon. So incredibly cute to see that little bob peek out from under the mask. She showed me all of the super hero moves. These are the pictures that will make her future husband love her even more don't you think?:)
