Two Big Milestones
Kate started walking about 2 weeks ago but now she is really moving. Enjoy this video of our toddling little girl. She's really getting the hang of it! Also another milestone she reached is drinking from a sippy cup. Well actually she never took to the sippy cup. She bypassed it and went straight to the straw cup. Who knew? Such a fun age! New things seem to be accomplished every day!
A girl and her straw cup are not easily parted. Notice the feet crossed at the ankles. Very Kate.

Carson at 2 Months
How can it be? Our boy is 2 months old. He is cooing and gooing. He is sleeping about 5-6 hours during the night. He is a big sturdy boy and so so sweet and cuddly. How big is he you ask? Well let's put it this way when Kate stopped taking a bottle at 12months she was drinking 6 ounces. Carson is drinking 6 ounces right now at two months! Can you say linebacker?
Look how much Carson has changed in 1 month!

Had to include this one because I think he is the spitting image of my DAD in this picture. Anyone in the family agree?

Meet JoJo
JoJo is Kate's special little monkey that she has taken a liking to. She especially loves to cuddle him in her car seat. She holds him REALLY tight. It is so cute!

Camera Brain
Kate is growing and changing so fast I feel like a camera fanatic because I am constantly snapping photos of her to keep up with her growth! It seems like she changes every day and I want to savor every moment. But life seems to be going in fast forward these days. I told Jared that I wish my brain had an automatic camera built inside. Everytime I wanted to snap a picture I would just blink my eyes. Maybe it would look something like this.
Above all toys, Kate's favorite is the remote control. She has put our TV into settings we never even knew existed.
I love profile shots
My gorgeous girl
If you need an instant giggle just watch Kate manuever this stroller. I call this the best Christmas we will probably EVER buy
Flying high with Daddy
These two have a mutual admiration society and I try to snap photos of their special relationship every chance I get

Joy
I always believe. But today..oh today..thank you Lord. Isn't it amazing how we can forget just how truly amazing our God is? (Ok well I do.)Shame on me. Today He bolted me out of complacency. Shocked me back to his wonderful ways. Even though only one person will read this and will know where this post comes from, everyone else who read this needs to be reminded our God is awesome, amazing, and as real and present today as ever. I am in awe.

The Prayer of a Working Mom
Oh Lord, my heart is so heavy. Actually, heavy cannot begin to explain the weight I feel on my mind and heart. Lord guide me! I need your guidance. Lord above all please protect my kids while they are away from me. Guide their caregiver. Give her a loving and patient heart. I pray that Kate will have fun with the other kids and I pray that you protect her physically and emotionally. I pray for little Carson's protection. 7 weeks old Lord! He's so small. But I trust that you will protect him. God be with me tomorrow morning as I take them to their caregiver's house. And as I drive away sit next to me as the tears fall. Let me know that you are there.Help my kids to know that their Mommy loves them so much. There's nothing I'd rather be doing than giving Kate a million kisses and hearing her laughter and stroking Carson's head and holding him close to me.Lord I selfishly pray that you will pause their milestone moments for my eyes.;)Thank you Lord for this job and the opportunity that it gives our family.I pray that the work hours will go fast while the time with my babies will be slow. Lord, finally I pray that you be with all Moms. Give them extra special care whether they are at home or in the workplace. Help them to know that you designed them to be the Mommy for that specific child.Guide us Lord! Hold us in your care. In Jesus' most precious name Amen.

Count Your Many Blessings, Name Them One By One
So while I can't really think about what I am about to do on Monday morning,(Please keep praying for me.) I am counting my blessings. I love my life and my family. God gives me constant reminders of how blessed I am.Enjoy these pictures of my blessings.
My two big blessings wrapped up in small amazing packages.
My brother Burke is an awesome uncle. He's not a baby person but he loves his neice and nephews. Kate LOVES her Uncle Burke. I love babies. They don't know you're not a baby person, they just love on you anyway.
Kate is getting better at relating to Carson. There are still some rough spots as you can see in these pictures, but for the most part she's coming around.
Let's just be honest and call this one what it is....a chokehold.
Jared and I have taken to calling him Little Jared. Depending on who you ask,we are told he looks like Jared or my brother Burke. Hmmmmmm.....For the record Burke doesn't see it.
Chunky Boy! 11 lbs already!
The smile is almost there!
